initial thoughts about trailers

Trailers are there to inform the audience about  a new movie coming out soon, it tells the audience what genre it is, for example you might have a trailer that involves shootings, explosions and crazy stunts so that the audience knows that it's an action movie. Trailers also give the audience initial elements of the narrative, so that the audience know what they're gonna get when they go and watch the movie. Trailers also show what stars are involved, In this trailer you can tell this is a superhero movie because spider man is an already well known superhero and the iconic fact that he is wearing tights and has supernatural abilities also makes it obvious. The trailer shows some of the narrative so that the audience has an idea of the story, in this case you can establish from this trailer that he's a normal teenage boy who lives with his aunt and Uncle, then he enters some sort of laboratory with his class and he get's bitten by a spider, after that the trailer starts to become more fast paced and it shows the ability's he gains. The trailer also cuts shots when something interesting is about to happen, this is done purposely so that the audience will want to know what happens during that scene and intrigue them to watch the movie when it comes out.

This trailer clearly shows that this is a sci-fy thriller
